Perhaps the most capable multi role and pure flying system in the history of aviation. With a well trained pilot capable of handeling any fighter or threat. I don’t believe a single F-16 has ever been brought down in Air to Air combat. And it’s strike capability is awsome as well. Only a troll would call such an outstanding bird a p-o-s. (Love the side mount aux’ fuel tanks too!)
Rameez, you are a moron… The F16 is not the most prolific fighter of our time for nothing… It’s one of the greatest planes ever developed. It’s infinite upgradeability means this multi-decade old plane is still viable and near state-of-the-art. It’s only downside is lack of stealth – considering only a few American planes employ stealth and the rest of the world is still stealth-less ,this is not that signifigant a flaw.

As for the F-16IN, looks very similar to the F-16I “Sufa” which started the whole conformal fuel tank crazy (It had always looked to me like an F16 with should pads)… Anything else make it different from the F16I?

Unlike the eurofighter, rafale and tejas it does not use significant amounts of composite material in its construction. And all this talk about the conformal fuel tank is unfornutae as it increases drag tremendously and are not jettisonable. Hence they are a terrible pile on . Just becauze its fitted with the latest avionics does not make it the best in its class. Simply because India is free to choose an aerodynamically superior fighter like the mig-29 OVT(thrust vectoring variant), have composite material incorporated in its construction to make it lighter and stealthier and fit it with state of the art avionics.We will get better deal(super-manoevrability +reduced RCS) at a much lower price.
Hey guys y r u after Rameez. As far as I know he is an Indian & not a Paki. Dont prejudge someone jst coz he has a muslim name. Apna hi bhai hai yaar wo. & dear Rameez F-16s given to Pak may be considered old but they still hold a lot of firepower. U cannot compare it to the MKI but still it is one of the best f/planes in the world.
Pakistan f-16 are A/B & C/D block version, without better upgrade from USA it cannot be compared with 4++ gen. Right now we have 110 su30 mki in inventory.
F-16 IN ( block 60 / AESA Radar) is one of the very best in world , it has proven its stuff in all wars.
with Israel’s weapons( Python 5 & Derby ,it is no-1 powerful jet in world (In Light weight version ).
USA products are more advanced version , but one disadvantage is End user Agreement

I think with India having F-16s will be a big competion between the air force’s MiG-29 and Mirage 2000 fighters.
